| Wakefieldeldon is the premiere event of the Fairfax
Amateur Lawn & Tennis Series. This 3 day tournament
takes place at the prestigious Wakefield Park in
Annandale, Virginia. Wakefield Park has 10 regulation
size courts and 2 steel cage courts.
Among the numerous singles and doubles matches
that take place during the tournament, there is
a special single elimination steel cage tournament.
This takes place on the two 30x10 caged courts
where you won't see a normal game of tennis. Hitting
it anywhere in the court and off the cage is legal.
Wakefieldeldon is also the most attended event
of the series. The championship title match takes
place on the stadium court which has cement bleachers
to accomodate up to 100 spectators.
