| The Fairfax Garros, located on the grounds of
Fairfax's W.T. Woodson High School, is the site
of the Fairfax Open, held annually on the clay(-like)
surfaces of it's six courts.
The only alternative surface to hard court which
hosts FALTS play, the Fairfax Garros is the site
of some of the year's most exciting tennis, as
players struggle to find their footing on the
uneven and slow surfaces.
The Garros has been used only for league practice
to this point, and has been dormant since July
on 2001. The FALTS has promised local businesses
to resume tournament play by early 2002, if not
before the end of the current 2001 season.
